How to toast a sesame seed

What is a sisal?
A sisal is a roasted seed, often made of rice or corn, and typically contains oil, a bit of butter or cream, and salt.
This recipe for sisal and oil is perfect for any occasion, and it will taste just like sesame seeds.
It also has no artificial preservatives.

Recipe notes1.
I used organic rice and organic salt, which came out great.
The rice is slightly browned and slightly salty, but not overly so.2,3.
If you prefer your rice to be slightly salty with a bit more oil, try adding a few tablespoons of coconut oil, olive oil or canola oil.
Or you can add a teaspoon of salt and add a pinch of cayanne pepper.4,5.
I usually leave it to marinate for 20 minutes.
This means that you have to let it sit in the fridge for about an hour, and then drain the marinade and use the same batch.6,7.
The sisal, rice and oil can be made ahead of time, in the same pan, and refrigerated for up to a week.
If not, you can just reheat them in the oven.8.
If using sisal to make a vegetable oil, make sure it is organic and not ghee or coconut oil.9.
The best olive oil is organic, but you can use any.
The one I used, and this is my preferred, is from the organic supermarket.10.
I love this recipe.
The whole recipe is simple, and I could easily make a few servings at a time.
This is a great, healthy way to make this sisal.
